【Project Overview】 This berth extension project was invested by Zhoushan COFCO(China National Cereals, Oils and Foodstuffs Corp). The construction was performed by  Shanghai Darun Port Construction Group Co., Ltd. Located inside the factory of Zhoushan COFCO in Laotangshan Port Industrial Park in Zhoushan city, Zhejiang Province, this project consisted of pile-supported dock with a pile cap of slab-beam structure. The dock was 139m long and 22.5m wide, with a row distance of 7m. Its pile foundation used 600mm x 600mm reinforced concrete square piles (42-58m long). The project consisted of three major parts, pile foundation, pile cap and dock facilities and was completed and accepted on April 10, 2009.
