【Project Overview】 The project of Zhoushan Maritime Supervision Base under Zhejiang Maritime Safety Administration, undertaken by Shanghai Darun Port Construction Group Co., Ltd., consisted of land formation and dock/ tideland backfilling of around 38.5 mus, on which to build office/auxiliary buildings, parking lots, access roads and stack yard, etc.; and construction of four additional berths at the dock. The T-shaped dock consisted of a trestle bridge and a pile-supported wharf with a pile cap of slab beam structure. The trestle was 312.35m long and 7m wide with a row distance of 8m; the dock was 201m long and 14m wide. The pile foundation used 600mm x 600mm reinforced concrete square piles with a length of 30-48m. The construction started officially on January 23, 2009, and the contract value was RMB 27 million.
