【Project Overview】Shanghai Darun Port Construction Group Co., Ltd. undertook the Salvage Project of Helios3 Wreck. The target of the project is to clean the fuel oil remaining on the wreck of Helios 3 under the sea of Nanji Island to stop potential pollution. In 2010, Darun Group accepted the work assigned by the Zhejiang Maritime S-afety Administration to clean the oil from Helios 3 and salvage t-he wreck afterwards and developed an underwater oil suction s-ystem by itself. On July 6, 2010, Darun fleet arrived at the place of the wreck with the oil suction system and completed the work successfully on Jul 20. It was confirmed by the examination of t-he diver and the video record that there was no remaining oil in the fuel tank any more. (Based on the residual oil recovery rep-ort provided by authorities for Helios 3 that the amount of the r-esidual oil cleaned equals to the recorded amount).
